Often called the “Trek of Contrasts,” this route offers a sudden, breathtaking shift in scenery. You will start your journey surrounded by the lush green valleys, dense pine forests, and alpine meadows of Kullu, only to cross the pass and step into the barren, majestic, and rugged cold desert of Lahaul and Spiti.
Perfect for nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike, this 5-night, 6-day expedition seamlessly blends adventure with natural tranquility, culminating in a spectacular visit to the pristine, moon-shaped Chandratal Lake.

Difficulty Level: Moderate
The Hampta Pass trek is highly rewarding but demands a decent level of physical fitness and mental endurance. While the initial days feature gradual ascents through meadows and forests, the true test lies on the day of the pass crossing.
You will face a steep and rugged climb to reach the 4,270 m summit, followed by an equally sharp and rocky descent into Shea Goru. Trekkers should be prepared for varying weather conditions, walking 5 to 8 hours daily, and navigating river crossings. Prior trekking experience is beneficial, but physically fit beginners with strong determination can also successfully complete this challenge.
